Bromley Healthcare launches #TogetherAgainstAbuse Campaign

Bromley Healthcare has launched new campaign to tackle a rise in abuse towards health and care staff.

Over the last few years, there has been an increase in reports of violence, aggression and abuse towards people working health and care.

A recent NHS staff survey showed that more than one in four staff members said they had experienced harassment, bullying, or abuse from patients, relatives, or members of the public.

At Bromley Healthcare, we value the health, wellbeing and safety of our staff. They are there to care for, support and help people who use our services. We know that the vast majority of people who use our services are respectful, unfortunately however, there are a small number of people can be physically or verbally abusive.

Any violent behaviour or the use of inappropriate words causing distress and/or constituting harassment will not be tolerated. We will investigate any incidents that are reported, and abuse towards our employees could result in being excluded from our services.

In cases where someone is posing a threat or is being abusive towards staff and others who use our services, the police will be contacted and this may lead to prosecution.

No one should have to accept abuse as a normal part of their job.

We can all come together against abuse. Help us focus on caring for you, share this message with others.
