On Sunday, 2nd July, Bromley Healthcare proudly joined the NHS in celebrating its 75th Anniversary. The occasion was marked with a vibrant Summer Garden Party, bringing around 250 colleagues and their families together in the spirit of community, care and compassion that are central to the NHS and Bromley Healthcare.
Colleagues were also joined by young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) who are cared for at our Hollybank respite centre. From traditional garden games and face-painting to a mask-making activity that sparked the artistic flair of our young attendees, the event was not just a celebration but a day of bonding and shared enjoyment. The day was filled with joy, creativity, and the spirit of camaraderie.
Jacqui Scott, Bromley Healthcare’s Chief Executive, reflected on the day: “I felt so proud to be there amongst our brilliant colleagues, their families, and young people that we care for. Our colleagues’ incredible service to our communities, particularly during the challenging times we have recently faced, is not only commendable but truly inspiring.”
The success of this event and the warmth it generated has spurred Bromley Healthcare to make this Summer Garden Party an annual event. Next year, we hope to invite more of our local people and communities who use our services, as a day of coming together, celebration, and mutual appreciation.
The 75th anniversary of the NHS is a landmark in our history, a testament to its enduring legacy of innovative care, compassion, and resilience. At Bromley Healthcare, we honor this legacy, and we strive each day to reflect it in our service to our community.
