There has been a fantastic response from all of our community services during the initial phase of the pandemic – they have been flexible and committed throughout. Many colleagues have changed working hours and roles in response to the ever changing position. During the initial Covid-19 phase our services carried out 75,000 face to face appointments/visits and 33,000 virtual appointments.
We are now moving into the recovery phase for our services. Most of our clinic based services will offer virtual consultations and are also offering where indicated face to face appointments. Our District Nursing and our urgent response services will continue to see patients at home as they have done throughout the pandemic.
As our services restart we will be prioritising the most urgent patients and routine patients may experience longer wait times than normal. Please be assured that our staff will have the right equipment and protection, based on national guidance, to provide the safest and best care to you and your loved ones.
