Our patient survey results are in - didn't we do well......

Nurse helping a patient

Bromley Healthcare provides a wide range of community health services to people of all ages

The results from the recent annual patient survey are in and they’re impressive!

In this time of change we’ve done really well and most of our scores have improved on last year with an overall satisfaction up from 91% to 96%.  The beauty of using exactly the same survey as last year means we can benchmark against ourselves to see how we’re doing.  However we think we can still do better in some areas and will be working with our service leads to develop a meaningful action plan.

Last year we had 1406 main surveys returned, compared to 1283 this year.  121 young people aged from under 8 years to 14+ completed the children’s survey.

When looking at the ten factors rated most important by patients, there seems to be a strong correlation with whether patients felt they were given the right amount of information about their condition or treatment.  For example, the most important factor of all is trust and confidence in the healthcare professional (HCP).  Of those who feel well-informed, 83% have confidence and trust in their HCP ‘all the time’, compared with 61% for those who do not feel well informed.
