EMdoc out of hours GP service

See a doctor when your surgery is closedmale doctor in white coat with stethescope

If you need to see a doctor, but your surgery is closed then get in touch with EMdoc.

When your GP practice closes, EMdoc takes over.  Our team of advisors and fully qualified GPs are on hand to offer the service you'd normally get from your GP.

When you call us, first of all one of our telephone advisors will ask about the condition of the person you're calling about (this could be you, or perhaps someone you're caring for).

We will then either offer advice on the telephone, ask you to come to see us as one of our bases or if the person is very ill, then we may arrange a home visit.  We can also advise on medication that you might be able to get from your high street phamacy.

Call us on 111.

Using this service

Anyone can use this service - you do not need a referral from anyone else.  The service is specially for those living in the London Borough of Bromley or registered with a Bromley GP.  Other boroughs have their own out ofhours service so if you live in another London Borough, please use this service (call your GP surgery for details).

Who this service is for

The service is for anyone who becomes unwell and needs non-emergency medical assistance when their GP surgery is closed.

Service opening hours

The service is open through the night, at weekends and on Bank Holidays.

Choose well

When it comes to medical care, you have a wide range of choices.  Our 'Choose well' helper helps you to make the right choice.   Before you call EMdoc you might like to take a look at this to see what help is available for you and your family.  Choose well...

NHS Direct offers many services that support the NHS's overall urgent care services, such as out of hours GP triage, helplines and health alerts, and dental care services.
